Bodacious
BODacious™ Magazine (link probably NSFW) – it’s everything you ever wanted to know about the larger, curvier lifestyle, from the women who live it, to the guys that love it. It’s a high gloss adult print magazine for men and women. It's the first magazine of its kind depicting BBW (Big Beautiful Women) in a light so similar to the mainstream magazines that it would be hard to tell the difference, except for the fact that in our magazine we feature Full-Figured Women. It has a flavor and style never before met, or seen in the magazine market for publications featuring larger women....each issue is packed with thought-provoking articles, evocative fiction, straightforward editorials and up-scale erotic photography. Sprinkle in a sense of humor, a touch of madness and just a pinch of naughty is nice, and you’ll have one of the most talked about magazines in the mainstream market today.
So, talk to me about it. It says something about my own scarred psyche that the first thing I thought (or worried about) was that it was a magazine mocking fat chicks or the people who think they're sexy, or that it was a creepy fetish magazine. But it seems legit, and maybe even celebratory. What do you think?

I've seen 3 issues and all I can say is Oh My GOD. It's the best thing to happen to the BBW world since spandex. The images are really tastful, no pink shots, no stupid toys, and the articles are really well written. They took there time in making this magazine. They didn't just slap shit together. It makes me proad to be an FA. And from what they are doing they are making things happen and not just sitting on there butts. So if you haven't seen one I strongly reccomend for you to some how get a copy and see for yourself.

Nope. Sorry. I just can't support this kind of objectification (excuse me--further objectification) of women.
It's sad that this bit of softcore (?) print porn might be considered a step forward for fat chicks. There is woman-empowering porn and/or erotica out there, but from a cursory glance at the covers of this magazine, this isn't it. This just looks like a way for someone to make a buck selling our fat asses to men.
My anonymous above why didn'y uoi give the so called example you have of woman-empowering porn out there? You are one of the Haters of this magazine, you stay in the shadows and talk, just like here hiding. Once again, I like Mike ahead of you stop just looking at the cover you stupid PRICK and see a copy for yourself you stupid asshole. Don't just sit in your shitty house and pass judgement on something you have never seen. It's like me saying your mom's cooking is shit (which it probably is...) without even eating it. Now do you get my point shit head? Like the magazine say's....

Hmmmm....if the above illiterate, abusive responses are any indication of the type of audience this publication attracts, I'll stick with a no vote.
Quality men attract quality women--and bottom feeders prey on insecure, easily intimidated women.
Wrong forum, dudes.
After much munching over, I'm going to go with objectification non-support like Anon 11:34.
I don't love female objectification on the whole generally anyway, 'cause it leads to all sorts of ills.
And when I'm feeling really cocky I say bump the media (especially the porn), I don't need a skin mag to tell me I'm sexy; I'm in shape -- I'm going dancing.
Yuk. It looks tacky and exploitative.
I have to agree with Susan and the rest it does look exploitative. However, it does make me curious to understand why woman do it. As a woman I want to support other woman in feeling comfortable and sexy in their own skin no matter what size. Does this getting naked for men to get off on help in this. Or is this not an act of further oppression and objectification in a society so full of it already? Is this only empowering because it means that skinny doesn't equal sexy? I am all for size diversity in the media, but this is not a step in a very positive direction. This doesn't make sense to me. Maybe I am wrong in this assumption as I have never bared my rolls for the camera, and so don't know if it is more empowering than objectifying. If anyone has a good arguement for or against it let me hear it.
I do not think this magazine exploits the women at all. I have every issue of it and I am a woman. It is not some trashy porn mag that men whack off to when they feel frisky. It has GREAT articles and the women are portrayed beautifully. I do not believe you just judge a book solely on the cover. The old saying definitely has a literal meaning here.
I heard about BODadcious magazine on The Tyra Show. I looked at the magazine web site, and then looked at other sites with reviews. To me, it looks nicely made. Why is it considered "exploitative" to show women in a way in which they are sexy, but it is also classy and artistic. It's not like some magazines where the women bare it all. It's more flirty. I'm actually considering modeling for them.
