F.A.T. Casting Call
In case you don't keep up with the comments on posts from last June, you may be interested to know that Mo'Nique's F.A.T. Chance is casting for a second season. Also that F.A.T. stands for "Fabulous And Thick." They couldn't come up with a better adjective than thick?

I was also wondering if it was too late to send in a video tape. Last year i missed it also, but everytime i go to Oxygen to see, it has been nothing but to sign up to win a trip to see the show.
Hey Ladies:
Well alls well that ends well the last casting for this seasons show was on the 20th of March in NYC. SO at this point it is to late. I am one of the last fifty contestants and waiting to hear who will be the lucky ten to go to LA.
I must admit though I am nervous as all hell. I am sitting here at my computer reading remarks from last year and thinking how much of a wonderful oppotunity this is for society in general. I am sick of watching commercial after commercial telling us to try the newest diet or about taking an elective surgery that may kill us in the process to make us thin. If 65% of the female population is a size 14 or larger then that makes us the majority. Don't you think they should improve the quality of life by spending more money on fitness , self education and empowering the majority of women.
I am a plus model already and I have to tell you that this industry is fearce. I modeled in BET Rip the RUnway this year and I have to tell you that FIRST and FOremost WE (THE BIG GALS) TORE IT UP....WE CREATED THE MEANING "Rip the Runway...." SO remember that the more we are out there showing society that we are the norm and it is an insult for a size zero woman to wear a t-shirt that says "DOn't feed the Models", the more we will be accepted.
Everything in Life is hard, but it harder when you are a Big Gal.... Keep pushing toward your goals and never stop. Treat each rejection (no matter who rejects you) as a step toward your goal. Remeber that all the trials and tribulations you face are only there to thicken your skin and prepare you for a large blessing in the near furture.
We are Woman and we make Thick look GOOD!

Where should we send the tape for fat chance if we want to enter the competition?
i think that it is about time that a plus size women is given that chance to show that she can be just as sex as the so called skinny women. myself being a plus size lady i have always found myself to be beautiful and sexy and i hope on day to be able to compete in the monique's fat chance. thanks monique for bringing the plus size diva to the limelight.

I am angry and in tears. The other night I was watching oxygen on demand and there it was right there, I'm too late. I never saw any advertisement or anything on the web and I could have and would have been a contender. I am so saddened by this. I wish I knew if I could do something else.
