Yeah, Cake Ones With Sprinkles
As much as I am loath to bump the previous post ("Let my fatties go" being my personal favorite) all good things must come to an end.
Flipping through channels a few days ago, I landed on Celebrity Fit Club. They were shaming Isaac from The Love Boat, who was very likeable. But, does the show have a lot of shaming? What is going on there? I've never seen it before; you guys have to fill me in. And there was also Carnie Wilson! Carnie! She's struggling with her weight again after giving birth to her daughter, god love her. She's like the anti-Star Jones, totally out there and honest about her weight loss surgery.
I hit Google to see if I could find some news about Celebrity Fit Club but much to my delight, I first found an article with the headline "Carnie Wilson: I get Horny When I Eat Donuts." The article can be found here, but really, what more do you need to know?

Chocolate Kreme Filled donuts from Dunkin D's get me all randy. I don't even mind being covered in powdered sugar afterwards, either.
I saw one episode of CFC last season when the STILL LOVELY Kelly LeBrock was giving the judge an earful. I'm not sure how I feel about these weight-loss reality shows. I mean, you isolate people from their daily lives and anything can happen, but what about when life goes back to normal?
Yea, I made a personal favorite! (And here I was afraid no one would get the Let my fatties go comment).
I personally like Celebrity Fit Club. The first season or two may have been a little shaky, and they had everyone on NutriSystem, but now they can choose different diets. (I'm sure there is incentive of some type to use the Fat Smash Diet, but one of the people on the show right now is on South Beach, so you can choose.) I like that better, because it gives the rest of the people hope - you don't have to be rich and pay for the food like in the beginning.
It is also more realistic than the other weight loss shows, which is kind of funny since it has celebrities in it and they tend to be unrealistic. Rather than be removed from reality, they return to their respective homes and return to the show to do a day of "Fit Camp" and weigh in every two weeks. The show goes for 90-100 days, and the weight goals are relatively realistic, with the first two week goal usually being higher, like 6 pounds (which we usually use more that first week or two anyway), and then lowering to usually a 4 pound goal for the next weigh-in.
I like it. They also do body fat testing and show that difference at the end of the show as well. They still have a bit of a biased - Tocarra argued with them about her weight kind of regularly (Go Tocarra!), but overall it's good.
I had cable for a few months last summer and I watched 1.5 seasons of CFC. I really liked it. I haven't seen it since, but as midknyt mentioned, they don't put their lives on hold to be on this show.
The shows I saw were pretty exciting. One of the Baldwin brothers (the one from Homicide: Life on the Streets) disappeared (he had drug problems) several times and didn't show up for the final weigh in; then he came back to apologize to the show folks and the audience; he is back in recovery (for the gazillionth time). Hopefully he's really succeeded this time. *dubious* But the best shows were the ones where Harvey, the drill sargeant work-out guy started to fall for Kim Coles! And he said at one point to the camera, "I can't think of anything I would change about Kim. As far as I'm concerned; she is perfect." And they went out on a date! And she was very verklempt about it. I don't know if anything came of their little romance, but that was sweet.
