You're Gonna Love Me
In honor of tonight's Oscars, here is a delightful article about Jennifer Hudson's style transformation since the days of American Idol. (I don't remember that pink outfit, but holy god.)
"No rail herself, [Hudson's stylist Jessica] Paster said that 'working with a girl that’s curvy has been a dream for me. She likes herself, so she’s not one of those freaks who is like "Oh, my God, I’m fat. Oh, my God, I can’t wear that"... she knows when she looks good in a hot dress.'"
I can't wait to see what she ends up wearing tonight; I'm sure she'll look amazing. I also love that instead of a pre-Oscar party, she had a "praise party" at her church. We're rooting for you, Jennifer!

I just read somewhere that she is now quite a bit skinnier than she was even a couple of months ago. She apparently said she wasn't trying to lose weight, but was just busy running around. Uh-huh.
Oh, c'mon! So what if she's dropped a few pounds? I wouldn't offer the same criticism if she gained a few pounds. Anyway, she says she'd be happy anywhere from a size 8 to a 14, a statement not a lot of Hollywood types are willing to make! She's got a divine sense of her beautiful and talented self no matter what her size. (And isn't that what we should all be aiming for?)
Aside: I wonder if (as per the article) it's true that Vogue requested that Oprah Winfrey drop 20 pounds for the cover. Would she really agree to do it (and why)?
Yay, she won! And her dress has pockets. That totally rules. That is my deep commentary.
Woot! Hooray for Jennifer!
I can't say I liked the brown dress and jacket, but she looked gorgeous during the Dreamgirls musical number.
Love, love, love her success! What a satisfying achievement for her as a talented artist and representative of plus-sized women.
LOVE her. She was radiant last night. (I can't help but think that Eddie Murphy's loss to Alan Arkin was payback for the unmentionable movie. Does he even get it when he poses for photos with her?)
