Feeling Beautiful
Just a simple article about feeling beautiful.
"Additionally, you can keep your full figure and tone up at the same time. Not all exercise programs are designed for weight loss - some can be for improving strength, flexibility or just to get to know your body better [sic]. Don't ever forget that you can be curvy, gorgeous and fit."
The author runs a clothing website called Hips and Curves. There seem to be a lot of hot, sexy items on that site. I'm totally into this skirt, for instance!

Hello! NOW we're talking! Hey, Mo, I didn't see that fishnet body stocking that goes with that skirt you like in the body stocking section (and I did look. :D Maybe it's the opaque one in closeup?).
THANKS for the hookup. I got rid of my leather skirt because I outgrew it (I was starving myself for the dance company). *singing in singsong voice* Time to buy a new one ... hee hee hee...
And on a less *ahem* hedonistic tip, the author was right about working out. I'm learning the crane pose in Astanga (don't ask), and it tones your abs better than any situp because they have to be strong to get your legs off the ground. Film at 11 ...
This is a really good article, even though by the end it felt a little bit like an advertisement.
Clothes that fit correctly make such a difference, and I think a lot of larger women have had so many messages bombarding them to "cover up" and "minimize" and "hide" their bodies, that it's hard to know what "well fitting" really looks like.
I didn't wear light or bright coloured pants or jeans until I was 22 or so, after years of my mother's mantras of "black is more flattering" "don't draw attention to your bum" "those trousers are too tight". Though it didn't take long to realize that trousers will ALWAYS look a little tight on my bum, it's that kind of bum!
Now that I'm on the littler side of plus (or the bigger side of regular) I'm really sad that a lot of Torrid stuff doesn't fit me, that store has so many great styles.
Also digging that skirt. But digging the fishnet bodystocking more.
