Being An Asshole Is A Choice

I personally think this chick is just out for attention. Once she was Trainwrecked, she figured that pissing everyone off is the way to get blog hits. Now she's after us! It's just the usual weight loss is easy, eat less, move more, nobody wants to have sex with you, rant.

"If you fly on airplanes, you and other fat people increase the chance of everyone on that plane dying in a plane crash, because planes were not designed to carry so many fat people."

The comments are also very charming!

"YOUR FATNESS is imposing costs on OTHER PEOPLE, and thus we have every right to tell you to GET OFF YOUR FAT ASS, QUIT STUFFING YOUR PIE HOLE FULL OF CUPCAKES, AND GET YOUR NASTY UGLY FAT JIGGLY ASS DOWN TO THE GYM, PIGGY!"

Thanks to Anne for the link and for the post title. In other news, I am changing the name of this blog to the Künstlerroman of Mo Pie. Because with every post, I evolve as an artist.

Is this bitch serious?

Bildungsroman, eh?

I honestly think she's just trying to push buttons to drive traffic to her blog. Notice the professional head shot? And the links at right? And the link about how to make money blogging? Check out her "about me" stuff.

Whatever.

All I know is that I like a little more Bildung in my Bildungsromane.

I'm with NicoleW.

While Jackie Mackie Tacky Wacky (I can't take credit for that; some other blog named her that) seems to have so many clues as to the "diseases" from which other folks suffer, she appears to have missed her own narcissistic personality disorder. Ergot:

(sorry no direct link; apparently tag is broken)

Um, Mo - Kunstlerroman?

Although you are doubtless a veritable fount of creativity, I would like to request all hands, please, in the air for continuation of Pie.

Hee.

Hey, easy, Wendy. I'm a Mensa member. I'll admit to a certain level of wackiness, but not all of us are that wacky.

Holy crap! Jackie Mackie Passey--this is what you get for having a memorable name. I went to elementary school with her! And I couldn't stand her--at the tender age of seven, I could already tell she was a complete lunatic. And apparently she has only become more insane in the years since.

Wow.

ahhh, i love your last paragrapg :)

and bloody hell... i read about this chick and her Quality Woman post last week, and now this? Have you ever seen such a blatant traffic campaign? wonder what the next stunt will be...

i like heather's comment, "I wasn't sure if the article was to brag about her own weight loss or it was just to distance herself from her own previous fatness."

Why is that you can lose 40lb and after just 7 months of maintenance, have completely lost all empathy? maybe she's different because she had gained weight because of her METABOLISM, as opposed to not being "100% in control" of what she consumed, like the rest of us lard arses.

There's nothing I love more than a big scoop of didactic, self-riteous, whacko-bitch in the morning. Of course she's only giving us this bit of tough-love for our own good, 'cuz as fat people we just don't get it on our own.

"Anyanka Has A Blog!" OMG... Thanks for that Nicole. I do so love TNH. No one kicks the morons of the world to the curb better than she.

I want to believe that she's only posting this crap to increase traffic to her site, and yet...

Oy. All I can think of is Henry Rollins' Love Letter To Ann Coulter, because its almost the same response I have to this clown: "You know, sweetie, those people you're trying to impress with all your highfalutin' attitude and supposed panache will never really accept you, you're never really going to be a part of that club, so grab your fifteen minutes now, because you're going to be irrevelant in the very near future." Pie, and LME, think you've hit it on the head -- this chick is desperate for attention, and her recent posts argue strongly for attempts to drive hits to her site.

Well, as I can see by the comments and links, her viciousness and callousness has only come back tenfold.

Aaaack! (to quote the Cathy cartoons this woman is probably cackling over). I just shouldn't read these things. They just make me mad and sad, and they aren't for me, a fat person, anyway. They exist so that mean-spirited thin people have a place to trumpet their moral superiority. It's like some weird kind of revival meeting, with any fat person who happens along taking the role of Satan for the zealous congregation.

Anyone who drives a car (especially an SUV) is impacting other people on a far more massive scale than your average fat person. The whole world had to be expensively redesigned so people could drive cars everywhere - millions of lives have been lost in wars to secure access to fuel - the climate has been permanently impacted, air quality shifts have increased asthma rates across the board, and people who drive everywhere don't move as much, which is bad for their health.

But I think if it were suddenly decided that everyone needed to stop driving, there would be a lot more support and sympathy, and a lot more understanding for how hard it is to quit - how many priorities would have to take a backseat (no pun intended) while you re-engineer your life. I don't think the general attitude would be "suck it up," and there would be a lot more help and support on a culture-wide level to make it easier for everyone - REAL help and support, to make it easier. Not the "suck it up, eat boiled chicken" variety.

Willpower is overrated, and designed only for short bursts - not for the kind of long haul it takes to lose 100 lbs or more. For that, you need all the help you can get.

I'm not trying to attack people who drive cars, by the way - I do myself! Just an analogy...

The thing that gets me is what she says about fat people deserve to be treated like crap....I'm sorry, but my fatness isn't costing anyone else a dime, I pay for my health care, and what of the millions who suffer from depression, or other diseases that drive up the costs of healthcare? Should people feel self-righteous about being mean to them?
This person is pathetic and hateful, and I am sure she has gotten other responses that she isn't posting which would reiterate that point.
People should treat one another with respect regardless of size or any other physical characteristic, other than being like Jerky and having your head firmly planted in your bum.

She is awesome. Did you read the one where she says she used to "slum" with people of "lower classes" and therefore has the right to say they're poor because they have no self-control?

She's kept 40 lbs off for 7 whopping months. Big deal.
