Yeah I didn't get that either--it seemed to be insulting both products!

I loved the second one too. Awesome post, anne.

Beth,
I had the same question about the first video, but that's probably because I kind of look like the Playstation woman!

I did love the second video. I do think there are plenty of people who find women like them attractive (hawt!). But, that's still a controversial opinion in many circles. It's not supposed to be "normal" but more like a fetish or something you'd have to defend rather than just be understood about. So, it's nice to see videos like that.

Welcome back, Anne!

Wow - if the wee (however it's spelled - rotten product name!) capers and simpers as much as that woman, I can't imagine anyone being able to tolerate it for longer than three minutes. Also, all I could think as the camera panned over her body was how much she looks like a child. Creepy.

Second video rocks! My computer wouldn't play the whole thing though, so I never did find out what it was for.

Hmm, I just we all know what the first video proved, since people are practically killing eachother to get PS3s...

Sorry, had to have a moment.

I wasn't confused with the first one, just hoping it wasn't a real commercial, because I could see that. Kind of like those whole Mac vs. PC commercial where it has the young, normal guy and the older, slighly larger, doofy guy. Obviously we want a Wii because it is tiny, easy, cheap, and thin, right? Not that over-dressed, fat, dumpy, Playstation 3!

I'm sold.

I had to watch them both without sound, so I can only comment ont he visuals. I have to say the first one looked silly, but I LOVED watching the second one, and immediately thought of abour 6 people I know that would love it even more than me!

It's good to see really curvy women, with thighs resembling my own, being sexy on top of a washing machine. My favourite moment is the flour hand prints on the boobs. I do that when I bake pastry and strike the same pose too!

Maybe if the first one was actually real it would mean something. It's defintely not from Nintendo and I doubt its from Sony.

Looks like crap Best Week Ever made up.

Watching without sound too.

Even without sound, the Wii girl was extremely annoying. And appeared to have forgotten most of her outfit (or forgotten to take her socks off, one or the other).

I think I have PS girl's black vest...

1st one- offensive..something that a real commercial, like the mac/pc one could not have got away with if they had used women instead of men in the ad.

2nd one- beyond awesome! just shows u what the right attitude and outfits can do, those women were soooooo hot!

The first one is so derivative (of the Apple commercials) that I'm sure it can't be real. However, the fact that it was made and distributed at all says something about what we're ready to believe.

No, it's not a real commercial - but JB has expressed exactly what pissed me off about it. Thanks!

Also, thank you for the welcome back, everyone! It is good to be alive and kicking.

Well, unlike most ads..the second one makes me feel less guilty. Like the first ad which made me feel like, some dirty pedophile watching a 13 year old slapping her butt in a bra and short-shorts.

I definetly like the second ad better, the women look 200 times sexier than any skinny could look.

However, I feel bad because I want to buy the Nintendo Wii. Which in that first ad was equated with the skinny girl. So it's like, "Wahh, I still want to give money to the slut system though" lol.
